The BIMU welcomes all people. Plan your visit with the help of our information. Groups with multiple wheelchairs are requested to register in advance to allow quick access to the exhibition.

Arrival by public transport

From Frankfurt main station take underground line 4, 5 to Willy-Brandt-Platz station, then change to underground line 1, 2, 3 or 8 to Schweizer Platz/Museumsufer station. The stations are accessible by lifts. Please note that the lift to Schweizer Platz is located at the station Schweizer Platz/Museumsufer.

Assistance dog

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the museum.

Access to the exhibition rooms

Except for the upper floor, all exhibition rooms are barrier-free accessible. You can reach the ground floor via the ramp to the main entrance. As a wheelchair user, please press the bell at the beginning of the ramp. Our service staff will then quickly assist you in opening the entrance door.

The basement is accessible via an external ramp. Here, too, you will receive assistance from our friendly museum service.

Groups with several wheelchairs are kindly requested to make an appointment in advance in order to facilitate faster access to the exhibition.

Ground conditions

All wheelchair-accessible exhibition rooms have parquet flooring or easy-access flooring.

Admission

People with a disability from 50 percent to under 80 percent (degree of disability) visit the Bibelhaus at the reduced admission price of 4 euros.

People with a disability of 80 percent or more and accompanying persons with proof “B” have free admission.

First aid

A first aid kit is located in the ticket office area. In case of need, please contact the staff in the museum area

Cloakroom / Lockers

We have lockers for your wardrobe and other items. These are easily accessible in the lower area, even with a wheelchair.

Toilets

The toilets are located on the ground floor. One toilet can be used with a wheelchair.

Stool

We provide seating for visitors with limited mobility. These are lightweight folding stools to take into the exhibition. They are located in the entrance area.

Parking

A public car park is available directly next to the Bibelhaus (chargeable, to be used with EC card).

Audio guide

The audio guide is an acoustic journey through the museum.

Let it guide you to the most important thematic stations, stories and objects. You can listen to the audio guide on your own smartphone.
