Around 20,000 people visit the Bibelhaus every year to discover the world of the Bible and enjoy the special atmosphere of the adventure museum. The museum is supported by Frankfurt's oldest church association: the Frankfurter Bibelgesellschaft was founded in 1816 in an act of civic commitment. Since then, the society has been driven by the goal of opening up the contents of the Bible and making it accessible to people of all ages; to make people capable of speaking about their own Christian roots and traditions in order to live together in a free and peaceful society in exchange with other religions in mutual respect and recognition.
